Medstead Pre-school and Nursery is a committee run setting, and has been operating since September 1989 when we started in Medstead Village Hall as Medstead Playgroup. We are also a registered charity.

We are registered for 38 children at each session split between upstairs and downstairs.  We provide excellent staff/children ratios with the minimum of one adult to four children up to 3 years of age and one adult to eight children for the 3 & 4 year olds. Our dedicated, caring and friendly team are passionate about providing good quality childcare and education, supporting each child's individual needs.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and will do this by putting young people and vulnerable adult's right to be 'strong, resilient and listened to' at the heart of all our activities.

We have qualified Special Needs expertise and also staff who are able to provide communication support to pre-school children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities to ensure that these children also have an equal opportunity to develop in all areas for children’s learning through the use of Sign Language. We provide opportunities for all of the children in our care to reach their full potential. We are committed to proving a fully inclusive environment for all.
